Once the window populated the desktop icons stopped flashing. A few seconds later, the “Choose default app by file type” window populated. It was trying to load the types, I brought up task manager and restarted Windows Explorer. The little busy dots keep going across the top from time to time. If I try "Choose default app by file type" it goes to the window to try to give me a list but just stays busy and never populates the types. If I choose another Photo app instead of Photos it still closes the window and doesn't change When I close that Settings panel, flashing stops. BTW, the whole time I'm trying to change the default photo viewer my desktop icons are flashing. Trying again, I can easily change my email back to Outlook and browserīack to Chrome. I tried again, and this time the entire Settings window closes. When I tried to change Photo viewer by clicking plus button and choose Photos (recommended by Windows 10) it does nothing. It did wipe my browser and email but left Music player to what it was, When I hit Reset, it goes away for a bit but doesn't put anything in for Photo viewer. I went to Settings -> Apps -> Default apps and it shows that I don't have a default photo viewer. The flashing starts until I close the folder. When I open the "gif" folder I don't get flashing. To further investigate what is going on, I created a folders called "jpg", "gif", and "png" and placed images of the type into the those folders. This was happening before I installed GIMP. I've reinstalled it and that didn't help either. I have uninstalled it and that didn't help. I do have IrfanView set via its interface to handle images. Several new images from Google search for testing.Īlso, I cleared all the thumbnails via the disk cleanup on the C drive.

This happens with many different images and at least two image types, JPEG and PNG. If I open that folder, the flashing returns. I created a folder called "tmp" on my desktop and once I moved the image files into the folder the flashing stops. Window is completely stable right now and the icons on the desktop are redrawing repeatedly. Other application windows are fine and do not exhibit flashing of any kind.

Regardless, I have updated Nvidia drivers to the latest.

This isn't a entire screen flashing problem that I see people trying to answer like it is driver problem. Here is an interesting observation also, the "This PC", "Network", "Recycle Bin", and "Control Panel" icons don't seem to flash, just all the other icons. This flashing includes the desktop folder and any other folder that I

That can be a little irritating but still a very worthwhile driver (my view).I have a problem where Windows 10 (completely patched up to today) Explorer will flash icons continuously when there are certain image file types in the folder that is being displayed.

Sometimes (impacts some systems - not all, I understand) you need to re-enter the license key for every instance of the driver after a re-boot. The only problem that I have seen with this driver is that there is not a driver manager from Blackwire yet (like the Annex4 Link Driver or the Driver Central cloud driver). If the icon is pressed, the irrigation is paused (programmatically) and the icon changes to a play button.) When irrigation is running, it shows a pause symbol. I have a pause/resume I icon on my irrigation screen - currently a fake room that I swipe right for in OS3. I have loads of these icons and find it very useful (e.g. This was fixed at some stage (2.9.x) and re-appeared once in the 2.10 suite of operating systems. Back in OS2.9.0 (I think) it didn’t swap icons properly live and you had to move out of the screen and back in to get it to work. I have been using it since it came out with no serious issues. I thought there were memory/performance concerns with using that driver?
DRIVER FOLDER ICON PNG ANDROID
Interestingly, the Android app works fine.Ĭan this driver be used by end users? The instructions on the driver page is talking to dealers. There's a few other fixes in there (additional thermostat bug fixes and Hikvision cameras) and I'm expecting that it will be live in the App store in the next few days. I've been working with the C4 app team to resolve and the beta version that they sent me to test works fine. Just to let you know, there is a known bug with the current iOS app release for OS3 that means that the Chowmain icon driver doesn't' work. Again, Chowmain has a nice Mac Mini icon.ĭriver is straightforward - just follow the documentation, make the connections etc.

The other is the HDMI output of a Mac Mini in one room. One is the HDMI output from our NVR (sounds like you want to do the same), where Chowmain has a nice security camera icon.

I use the Chowmain custom icon drivers for a couple of 'dumb' sources, where I just need to change the AV source and don't need any control as such.
